MUSCAT — The upcoming state visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the Sultanate of Oman marks a defining moment in the steadily advancing relationship between the two nations, said Honourable Lujaina Mohsin Darwish, Honorary President of the Omani-Turkish Friendship Association.

She said the visit comes as bilateral relations “enter a new phase of depth and diversity,” following the signing of multiple agreements during His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s landmark visit to Turkey in November 2024.

“This visit signals a mutual desire to elevate the relationship from traditional friendship to a comprehensive strategic partnership encompassing investment, energy, industry, culture, and defence,” Lujaina told the Oman News Agency.

She noted that Turkey’s extensive experience in infrastructure, construction, and manufacturing offers Oman a strong opportunity to attract high-value investments aligned with the goals of Oman Vision 2040. “The agreements already signed and those expected during this visit will open new markets for Omani and Turkish companies and create opportunities for small and medium enterprises to be part of major supply chains,” she added.

Lujaina said the deepening partnership reflects the “shared vision of progress” embraced by both leaderships, paving the way for sustainable economic growth, innovation, and long-term cooperation between the two friendly nations.
