Muscat – Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health, received in his office today Michael Damianos, Minister of Health of the Republic of Cyprus, who is currently paying an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed matters of common interest, reviewed features of the health journey in the two countries and the most important achievements made by both sides in this field. They also explored ways to broaden the scope of partnership and cooperation between the two countries in the health sector.
The meeting was attended by several officials from both sides.

Meanwhile, the two ministers held an official session of talks, during which they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the health field. The MoU pertains to enhancing cooperation in numerous health areas, including the exchange of experts and delegations in the fields of healthcare, health innovation, and medical and pharmaceutical sciences, as well as the exchange of knowledge in the fields of rehabilitation and training of healthcare workers.
As part of the visit, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Cyprus, visited the Royal Hospital. He was briefed on its various specialties and the level of development and progress it has achieved.

He also learned about the modern facilities within the hospital, the advanced therapeutic and diagnostic equipment, and the services it provides as a reference health institution serving all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
The guest also went on tour of Al Khuwair Health Center, as he viewed its departments and clinics, and was briefed on the work mechanisms followed there. He also familiarized himself with the treatment services it provides.
