MUSCAT : Her Highness the Honourable Lady, Sayyida Ahad Bint Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Busaidiyah, the Spouse of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, delivered an inspiring message on the occasion of Omani Women’s Day, observed every year on October 17.
In her heartfelt address, Her Highness paid glowing tribute to Omani women for their timeless wisdom, resilience, and boundless contribution to the nation’s progress. She affirmed that throughout history, Omani women have been the essence of wisdom and generosity the mothers who nurture values in hearts, and the grandmothers who preserve heritage and pass it to generations with care and pride.
“The Omani woman, across time, has proven herself a source of wisdom and giving an embodiment of patience, perseverance, and enlightenment,” Her Highness said.

Her Highness lauded the achievements of Omani women across diverse fields from education, science, and entrepreneurship to creativity and public service emphasizing that their efforts have lifted the nation’s flag high in every arena. She described Omani Women’s Day as a moment of reflection, gratitude, and renewed pride in the role women continue to play in shaping the Sultanate’s future.
“This is a day to celebrate every Omani woman the devoted mother, the creative professional, the pioneering entrepreneur, and the leader whose determination strengthens the very fabric of our nation,” she noted.
Her Highness highlighted that the celebration of women in Oman is not merely ceremonial but a genuine acknowledgment of their indispensable role in advancing the country’s development, guided by Vision 2040 and rooted in the principles of equality, empowerment, and shared progress.
“The recognition we offer today is a reflection of Oman’s deep appreciation for women’s steadfast service their loyalty, their innovation, and their relentless pursuit of excellence,” she added.
Concluding her message, Her Highness expressed profound admiration for the Omani woman “a symbol of grace, wisdom, and strength, who gives endlessly to her family, her community, and her beloved homeland.”
“To every Omani woman you are the pride of this nation, the pulse of its progress, and the enduring light that guides its future.”
