MUSCAT – The initiative, rolled out during the month of October, forms part of a broader community partnership between the two government entities. The programme aims to educate expatriates on key public issues such as cleanliness, the harmful effects of spitting tobacco, and the importance of respectful and civilised coexistence in Omani society.

A series of multilingual lectures were conducted in prominent mosques including the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Ruwi, Al Warith bin Kaab Mosque in Al Amerat, and Al Awabi Mosque in Bausher. These sessions were tailored to reach diverse audiences and focused on instilling positive behavioural practices aligned with Oman’s cultural and social values.

Muscat Municipality emphasized that the program reflects its ongoing commitment to public health, social harmony, and environmental responsibility, while the Ministry of Endowments underscored the importance of religious institutions as platforms for moral and civic education.
