MUSCAT – The Council of Ministers today greeted Omani women on their annual day, which falls on 17 October every year.
The Council of Ministers stressed that the Sultanate of Oman’s celebration of this anniversary caps up the care and attention accorded to women since the dawn of the Blessed Renaissance, in support and appreciation for the efforts that they exert, alongside men, in the country’s comprehensive development.

“The 17th of October every year ushers in a celebration of Omani Women’s Day that culminates the care and attention accorded to Omani women since the dawn of the Blessed Renaissance till now, in recognition of the efforts that women exert alongside men in all tracks of Oman’s comprehensive development.
Omani women have undertaken constructive roles in the national action. Their accomplishments are manifold and manifest in all sectors of work and production, earning them constant commendation from all.
The responsibilities shouldered by Omani mothers grow greater day by day amid ongoing rapid developments in social media. This is due to women’s essential role in leveraging the advantages of social media and utilizing the same in proper upbringing of families, raising the capacities of family members and enabling them to actively participate in safeguarding the accomplishments made in our beloved Oman.
