MUSCAT : Hosted by The Arabian Stories (TAS), the event is poised to be a landmark celebration of women’s leadership, innovation, and impact across Oman and the wider region. Held under the theme ‘Leading the Charge’, the summit will bring together an impressive array of Omani women leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and changemakers to highlight the evolving role of women in shaping the Sultanate’s future.
The summit will open with a keynote address by Her Highness Sayyida Dr. Basma, renowned mental health advocate and founder of ‘Whispers of Serenity’, Oman’s first mental health clinic, and the ‘Not Alone’ campaign. Her presence as patron underscores the summit’s holistic focus on leadership, well-being, and societal progress.
The day’s programme will feature a series of high-level panel discussions and interactive sessions exploring themes such as leadership, entrepreneurship, financial empowerment, innovation, and creativity as engines of social and economic development. Among the featured sessions is ‘Women in Leadership: Shaping Tomorrow’, with panellists including Hanaa Al Hinai, Dr. Sora Al Rowas, Lamees Al Lawati, Ibtisam Al Khaifi, and Fatma Sultan Bahwan; it will be moderated by Victoria Cuthbert Al Rawas of Oman Air.
Another highlight is the ‘Ambassador’s Forum: Shaping Change Beyond Borders’, which will bring together Her Excellency Ingrid Amer, Ambassador of Estonia; Her Excellency Maartje Peters, Ambassador of the Netherlands; and Her Excellency Sumaya Al Yaarubi, Honorary Consul for New Zealand in Oman; moderated by Anne Kurian, founder of ‘The Luxury Bulletin’.
The ‘Power of Women in Business’ panel will feature Maryam Al Amri, Varsha Roy, Lubna Al Zakwani, and Marise Assaf, with Asma Al Riyami, radio presenter at Oman FM, serving as moderator. These sessions will showcase the diverse leadership journeys of women across sectors and provide a platform for dialogue on empowerment and progress.
The evening will culminate in the HerStory Awards presentation at 9:15 pm, honouring outstanding Omani women in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership. The awardees have been selected by a distinguished jury panel comprising Aisha Al Kharusi, Dr. Yasmin Al Bulushi, Reem Al Zadjali, Rumaitha Al Busaidi, and Anne Kurian.
Winners of the Editor’s Choice Awards will also be announced during the course of the evening’s proceedings.
Following the awards, guests will participate in a networking dinner, providing opportunities for meaningful engagement, collaboration, and celebration of collective progress.
