MUSCAT – Implemented by the Ministry of Education, represented by the Department of Gifted Student Care, the programme focuses on sixth-grade students in schools under the Directorate General of Education in the governorate.
A total of 107 students are participating in the programme, which is distributed over two days.
Today, 54 students are taking their tests, while the remaining 53 will take theirs next Wednesday. The programme is conducted within a prepared educational environment that considers individual differences and provides an atmosphere conducive to creativity.
The programme aims to measure a range of creative skills and abilities among students, including intellectual fluency, originality, flexibility, and the generation of new ideas, along with skills in rephrasing and in-depth thinking. This contributes to identifying students with high cognitive abilities and creative orientation.
The implementation of the programme falls within the framework of national efforts to discover gifted students in early academic stages and provide them with a supportive educational environment by equipping schools with the necessary material and human resources. This enhances creativity and innovation and contributes to building a conscious generation capable of contributing to the nation’s development journey.
