MUSCAT – The Bank clarified that the ‘Maal’ card has not yet been launched and any claims suggesting otherwise are false. It emphasised that once the card is officially released, the launch date will be publicly announced through official channels.
The CBO pointed out that the card will be exclusively available through licensed commercial banks and payment service providers that operate under the Bank’s supervision. The public is urged not to engage with unauthorized individuals or entities claiming to offer the card.
“We urge everyone to exercise caution and avoid responding to phone numbers or entities falsely claiming to be official, and to refrain from sharing any personal or financial information with them,” the CBO alert stated.
