MUSCAT : Preliminary statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) indicate that the average price of oil decreased by 12.6 percent to reach $72.1 per barrel by the end of August 2025, compared to $82.5 per barrel during the same period in 2024.
Statistics showed that average daily oil production decreased by 0.1 percent to 993,200 barrels per day by the end of August 2025, compared to 994,500 barrels per day during the same period in 2024.
Meanwhile, total oil production in the Sultanate dropped by 0.5 percent, standing at 241.37 million barrels by the end of August 2025, compared to 242.67 million barrels during the same period in the previous year.
