Muscat – According to the latest satellite images and weather analysis, the system is located at latitude 20.7°N and longitude 68.2°E, with estimated wind speeds near the centre ranging between 20–27 knots (37–50 km/h). The tropical depression is forecast to move southwestward toward the central Arabian Sea, with a chance of further intensification within the next 48 hours.

While the system poses no immediate threat to Oman, the weather authority notes a possible advection of medium to high clouds over parts of the Sultanate as a result of the system’s outer influence.

Meteorological experts are closely monitoring the situation for any developments. The Civil Aviation Authority urges the public and marine users to stay updated by following official weather bulletins and advisories issued by Oman Meteorology.
