Muscat – In an official statement, the Authority confirmed that both field and technical teams have been dispatched to the area.
“The Authority’s field and technical teams, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, have begun their intensive work to thoroughly investigate the source and causes of these odours, in preparation for taking the necessary measures based on the results of the investigations. The Environment Authority assures everyone that the four air quality monitoring stations operating in the Wilayat of Ibri, equipped with advanced technologies and highly accurate measurement standards, have not recorded any abnormal or worrying concentrations of gaseous pollutants to date,” the statement confirmed.
Additionally, field teams conducted direct gas detection readings at sensitive sites within the area. According to the statement, these tests have not revealed any signs of harmful gases being present.
