MUSCAT : The awards ceremony celebrated the outstanding achievements of institutions and initiatives that have demonstrated excellence across key pillars of Islamic finance, including innovation, governance, customer experience, Sharia compliance, and social impact.

An independent jury, chaired by His Highness Sayyid Dr. Adham Al Said, Assistant Professor at Sultan Qaboos University, evaluated the nominations. The committee featured prominent figures, including Dr. Siham Al Harthy, Dr. Ashraf Al Nabhan, and Dr. Ahmed Kashoub.

The awards, presented by His Highness Sayyid Numair Al Said, recognised standout contributions across various categories:

• Bank Nizwa was awarded ‘Best Innovation in Islamic Banking’ for its pioneering initiatives in Sharia-compliant financial products and services.

• Meethaq Islamic Banking received the title of ‘Best Digital Application in Islamic Banking’ for its advanced digital solutions that have significantly enhanced customer experience and operational efficiency.

• The ‘Best Social Impact Initiative’ award went to the Bidiya Endowment Foundation, in recognition of its meaningful contributions to community development through Islamic finance mechanisms.

• The ‘Best Public–Private Partnership in Islamic Finance’ was awarded to the Ishraq Endowment Fund, highlighting its success in fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors to support sustainable financial growth.

• Takaful Oman was honoured for ‘Excellence in Social Responsibility’, acknowledging its commitment to integrating social values and community support into its core operations.

• The award for ‘Unique Training Program in Islamic Finance’ was presented to Tawafuq, recognising its efforts in developing specialised talent and promoting knowledge in the Islamic finance field.

• A ‘Special Recognition for Community Service’ was also presented to the Sheikh Saeed bin Nasser Al Hashar Charitable Trust for its longstanding dedication to charitable work and impactful social contributions.

The awards reflect Oman’s growing leadership in the Islamic finance sector, with each winner contributing to the nation’s vision of value-based, inclusive economic growth.
