Muscat – The images, taken at the end of the Khareef season and the onset of the locally known ‘Sarb’ season, highlights the region’s rich and diverse natural landscape.

Following months of monsoon rains brought by Khareef, Dhofar now enters the Sarb season, which typically begins in the last week of September and extends until the final week of December. During this time, rainfall diminishes, temperatures become moderate, and the region witnesses significant plant growth, making it an ideal period for agricultural activity and livestock grazing.

The CAA also released additional close-up satellite images, clearly showing the flourishing greenery across the governorate’s beaches, open plains, and mountain ranges.

Sarb is not only significant for local agriculture and natural regeneration but is also considered the spring season of Dhofar. It plays a vital role in supporting biodiversity, sustaining the ecosystem, and enhancing the scenic beauty of the region, attracting both domestic and international nature enthusiasts.
