MUSCAT : To be held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Numair bin Salim Al Said, the event will open with a welcome address by Khalid Jamal Al Kayed, Chief Executive Officer of Bank Nizwa, setting the stage for high-level dialogue around Islamic financial practices and market development.

Representing the organising partner, Noora Sabah Sultan, Assistant General Manager and Head of Retail Banking at Ahli Islamic, will share insights into the evolving landscape of retail Islamic banking and its role in financial inclusion.

Delivering the keynote speech is Ali Ahmed Al Lawati, Assistant General Manager of Meethaq Corporate Banking, who will explore the strategic importance of Islamic corporate finance in supporting Oman’s economic stability.

Organised by The Arabian Stories (TAS), the conference, under the theme ‘Islamic Financial Transactions and Economic Stability’, is powered by Bank Nizwa, with main sponsors including Ahli Islamic and Meethaq, and Credit Oman as the supporting partner.

The forum will bring together banking leaders, financial experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss key trends, challenges, and innovations shaping the Islamic finance landscape in Oman and beyond. It aims to promote dialogue, showcase best practices, and advance the growth of Islamic finance in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.

A central feature of the event will be the Themar Islamic Banking Awards, which will honour institutions and individuals contributing to excellence and innovation in the sector.

The awards will be adjudicated by an independent jury chaired by His Highness Sayyid Dr. Adham Al Said, Assistant Professor at Sultan Qaboos University, and include Dr. Siham Al Harthy, Board Member of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Dr. Ashraf Al Nabhani, former Chairman of the Muscat Securities Market; and Dr. Ahmed Kashoub, Chairman of the Index Center for Economic and Financial Consultations.
