MUSCAT : The artifacts, uncovered during expansion works at the Freezone, span various eras of Omani history and narrate stories of trade, craftsmanship, and social life. Carefully curated into thematic chapters, they offer visitors and investors alike a window into the nation’s rich past.

Engineer Yusra bint Khalaf Al Subhi, Director General of Antiquities at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, emphasized the importance of the collaboration. “This partnership reflects the depth of cooperation between the Ministry and Sohar Port and Freezone, highlighting Oman’s cultural heritage and linking it to the modern economic development process,” she said. Al Subhi added that the initiative supports Oman Vision 2040 by demonstrating that heritage is both a memory of the past and a driver of the future.

Mohammed Al Shezawi, Acting CEO of Sohar Freezone, called the hosting of the artifacts a commitment to sustainable growth. “This initiative provides added value to investors and partners, while positioning Sohar Port and Freezone as a competitive destination that combines industrial efficiency with cultural depth,” he explained.
