MUSCAT : The meeting, attended by prominent figures including Aisha Al Kharusi, Deputy Executive Chairperson at Modern College of Business and Science, Dr. Yasmin Al Bulushi, Senior Advisor at the Royal Academy of Management, Reem Al Zadjali, Lawyer and Founder of Reem Al Zadjali Lawyers & Legal Consultants, and Nishad Padiyarath, CEO of The Arabian Stories (TAS), focused on reviewing award categories and setting final criteria.

During the discussions, the committee decided to extend the deadline for nominations to October 4 to allow more women to participate and showcase their achievements.

At the conclusion of the session, Reem Al Zadjali encouraged broader participation from women leaders across various sectors. She stated: “We wrapped up the meeting for the HerStory Awards and looked at all the categories and details. Some categories are still open for nominations, and I encourage more women to apply and showcase their achievements.” she said.

Organised by TAS, the ‘HerStory Oman Summit 2025’ is a landmark initiative designed to celebrate the contributions and leadership of Omani women. The summit, themed ‘Leading the Charge’, will take place in Muscat on October 15, leading up to Omani Women’s Day on October 17. The event will bring together trailblazing entrepreneurs, visionary leaders, and innovators to discuss women’s role in advancing Oman Vision 2040 and reshaping leadership in the region.

The summit will host the prestigious awards ceremony, with the dedicated jury tasked with evaluating nominations across categories celebrating entrepreneurial excellence, leadership, innovation, and social impact.

In addition to the members present at the meeting, the jury panel also includes Rumaitha Al Busaidi, Business & ICV Development Manager at Hydrom (Ministry of Energy), Anne Kurian, Founder of Luxury Bulletin and Khushbu Toprani, Chief Commercial Officer at TAS.

The agenda for the day-long summit will feature keynote speeches, interactive panel discussions, and workshops and networking sessions. Highlights include the panel titled ‘Collective Leadership: Transforming Oman’s Future’, which will explore the role of women in driving forward Oman Vision 2040, and a session on ‘Power of Women in Business’, spotlighting successful female entrepreneurs.
