MUSCAT : A total of 64 charitable teams and 66 zakat committees will benefit from the initiative, which places strategic plots of land at their disposal for long-term investment and development. The move aims to strengthen the role of these institutions in supporting needy families, easing financial burdens, and fostering social stability.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning will provide the lands in key governorate centers, while the Ministries of Endowments and Social Development will oversee the management framework. This includes setting controls to ensure that resources are handled efficiently and sustainably.
Officials noted that the initiative translates into tangible support for the humanitarian and social missions of these organizations, enabling them to invest in income-generating projects that benefit local communities.
