Labour Ministry welcomes RO 100 million allocation to boost Oman’s private sector employment initiatives

The Ministry of Labor has expressed its deep appreciation for the Royal directives to double the financial allocation for employment support programmes to RO 100 million, in a move aimed at reinforcing efforts to employ job seekers in the private sector.

MUSCAT – In an official statement, the Ministry affirmed that this increased funding will significantly enhance the attractiveness of private sector employment for both job seekers and businesses, supporting a wide range of initiatives and career development paths under national employment strategies.


The Ministry also extended its appreciation to the Council of Ministers for reaffirming the importance of developing the National Employment Platform Tawteen “with the aim of finding the appropriate mechanism to increase the number of companies registered in it and to complete linking the relevant databases to it to benefit from the data it provides in finding job opportunities for citizens.”
