MUSCAT — During his meeting with the Council of Ministers at Al Mamourah Palace in Salalah, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik emphasized the importance of coordinated national efforts to achieve the goals of the National Digital Economy Program and its implementation initiatives.
The Council of Ministers underscored the critical need for all units of the State Administrative Apparatus to work in unison, ensuring the program’s success in driving economic diversification and technological advancement. It stressed the importance of reinforcing investment readiness, technological infrastructure, human capital, and regulatory frameworks, while addressing challenges that may hinder the progress of the program and associated artificial intelligence projects in the coming period.
The Council highlighted that accelerating the digital economy is central to Oman’s vision of sustainable growth, innovation, and global competitiveness, in line with the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040.
