MUSCAT : The Social Protection Fund (SPF) has reassured citizens that widow pensions will continue to be disbursed without interruption, denying recent rumours suggesting their suspension from 2026.
In a statement, SPF emphasized that reports circulating about the discontinuation of pensions for widows are “incorrect.” It stressed that all eligible beneficiaries will continue to receive their entitlements, as part of the SPF’s commitment to strengthening the social protection system.
