Muscat: Opening next Tuesday under the theme “Digital Innovation for Sustainable and Flexible Higher Education,” the conference is organised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation in cooperation with the Arab Open University.
The event aims to showcase pioneering experiences in digital transformation, highlight the role of artificial intelligence and blended learning, and promote cooperation among Arab universities to advance educational technology.
Over 100 organisers and nearly 70 higher education institutions are taking part, underscoring the momentum for change in the sector. Discussions will focus on how digital innovation can reshape university systems to support sustainability, inclusiveness, and social responsibility.

The programme includes high-level panels and workshops on hybrid and virtual learning, AI’s impact on academic institutions, governance models in the digital age, and mechanisms for evaluating universities’ responses to technological shifts and their effect on graduates’ futures.
