MUSCAT – During the meeting, the council discussed approving Ibra Hospital as a new training centre, part of the board’s plan to expand accredited training centres across various governorates in Oman. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of training programs and provide more opportunities for national medical staff in multiple locations.
The council also reviewed several topics on its agenda, including endorsing the minutes of the second Executive Council meeting, following up on decisions and action plans from previous discussions, and reviewing internal reports on specialty training and local fellowship programs.

Furthermore, the council reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming visit by the International Accreditation Council for Higher Medical Education, as part of the routine evaluation procedures for hospitals that have received institutional and training program accreditation.
