MUSCAT – Between June 21 and August 31, 2025, the total number of visitors reached approximately 1,027,255, marking a 2 percent increase compared to 1,006,635 visitors during the same period in 2024.
The data highlights a significant rise in the number of Omani visitors, which surged by 71.5 percent, reaching 734,225. Visitors from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries totalled 179,246, while 113,784 visitors were recorded from other nationalities.
In terms of modes of travel, 251,064 visitors arrived in Dhofar Governorate by air, while 776,191 came by land, registering a 1.3 percent decrease compared to arrivals via land by the end of August 2024.
The month of August alone saw a major influx of tourists, with 585,155 visitors recorded between August 1 and August 31, 2025.
