Zanzibar: The visit was organized by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI). During the visit, the delegation held meetings with senior officials and Tanzanian business leaders to discuss areas of cooperation and potential partnerships. Talks centered on investment opportunities in energy and infrastructure, as well as enhancing trade exchanges.
His Excellency Sharif Ali Sharif, Minister of State in the President’s Office for Labour, Economic Affairs and Investment, praised the “deep economic ties between Oman and Tanzania,” underscoring Zanzibar’s eagerness to build on this partnership.

Saeed bin Salem Al-Sinawi, Oman’s Consul General in Zanzibar, highlighted the importance of broadening trade horizons between the two nations, while Hon. Dr. Salem bin Salim Al Junaibi, Chairman of OCCI in Al Wusta and head of the delegation, emphasized the “historic foundation of Omani-Tanzanian trade” as a platform for modern cooperation.

As part of the programme, the Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority showcased investment incentives, while Oman’s Duqm Special Economic Zone Authority presented its strategic advantages to attract regional investors.
The visit also featured business-to-business meetings and a cultural tour of historic sites, including Stone Town and the House of Wonders, underscoring the long-standing cultural links between Oman and Zanzibar.
