Record growth: SalamAir carries nearly 200,000 passengers on 962 flights during Khareef 2025

Oman’s low-cost airline marks 46% year-on-year increase in flights to Salalah, with nearly 70% of passengers being Omani citizens.

MUSCAT : Between 30 June and 31 August 2025, the airline operated 962 flights between Muscat, Sohar, and Salalah, a 46% increase compared to 658 flights in 2024. Seat capacity also rose by 37%, reaching 192,540 seats this season. Almost 70% of passengers were Omani citizens, reflecting Salalah’s enduring appeal as a national destination during the Khareef festival.

To further support this surge, SalamAir introduced a special round-trip fare of RO 48 exclusively for Omanis, making Dhofar’s famed monsoon season more accessible for families and individuals across the Sultanate.
