MUSCAT – The new service is part of the Authority’s broader efforts to simplify procedures, automate services, enhance efficiency, and support its digital transformation strategy.
The move comes in accordance with Article 87 of the VAT Law and Article 37 of the Excise Tax Law, which entitle embassies and diplomatic missions to claim tax refunds on eligible goods and services.
With the launch of this service, diplomatic entities can now submit and track tax refund requests entirely online, eliminating the need for manual submissions and streamlining the refund process.
