NEW DELHI: The Sultanate of Oman has called for a global rethink on how value chains are structured, urging international stakeholders to prioritize resilience, inclusivity, and sustainability in the face of mounting disruptions.
Speaking at the FICCI LEADS 2025 Forum, Her Excellency Ibtisam Al Farouji, Undersecretary for Investment Promotion at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, stressed that these principles must be actively built into systems rather than remain aspirational.
“The imperative before us is to reshape global value chains so they are resilient, inclusive and sustainable – capable of withstanding disruption while fostering growth. But resilience, inclusivity and sustainability have to be engineered to be achieved, not just declared,” she said.
