MUSCAT — The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has rolled out a major update to its mobile application, introducing a suite of new digital services designed to make access to key public services faster and more convenient.
The update, now live on both Android and iOS platforms, allows users to display family information, update phone numbers for children under 18 years old, and view digital copies of important documents such as birth certificates, passports, and investor cards. The app also now displays details of sponsored individuals.
In a significant step towards enhancing public services, the ROP has also enabled users to book inmate visitations through video calls, eliminating the need for physical presence at correctional facilities. Another notable feature is the ability to apply for a driving licence for the first time directly through the app, streamlining a process that previously required in-person visits.

The update also introduces a dedicated service for reporting human trafficking cases, underscoring Oman’s commitment to tackling exploitation and protecting vulnerable groups.
The ROP said these additions reflect its efforts to expand e-governance, simplify administrative procedures, and strengthen its digital platforms in line with the Sultanate’s vision for a modern, technology-driven public service framework.
The Royal Oman Police mobile app, which has become a key gateway for citizens and residents to access official services, continues to evolve as part of Oman’s broader digital transformation strategy.
