MUSCAT : The 22-member delegation, representing various governorates of the Sultanate, is led by His Excellency Dr. Salem bin Salim Al Junaibi, Member of the State Council and Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in Al Wusta Governorate. The visit is part of OCCI’s broader initiative to expand Oman’s economic footprint in Africa and enhance regional and international cooperation.
The program includes meetings with senior Tanzanian officials, business-to-business sessions with local entrepreneurs, and site visits to industrial and logistics hubs. The itinerary also features a visit to Zanzibar Island to review prospects in energy, agriculture, fisheries, tourism, and logistics.
Dr. Al Junaibi highlighted Tanzania’s status as an emerging market rich in opportunities. He said that this initiative is a practical step towards strengthening Oman’s presence in African markets, noting that joint ventures and partnerships are expected to follow.
