SALALAH : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, may God protect and preserve him, received Dr. Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani, Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, at Al-Husn Palace in Salalah as part of the Iraqi leader’s official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting highlighted the deep fraternal ties between the two nations and the shared commitment to transform memoranda of understanding into practical cooperation, particularly in the areas of energy, investment, and economic development. His Majesty also affirmed Oman’s support for Iraq’s regional initiatives and its steps to enhance stability and cooperation.
Both leaders expressed their keenness to expand bilateral partnership across multiple sectors while reviewing regional and international issues of common interest. The session further reflected Oman’s openness to fostering constructive exchanges and strengthening collaboration with Iraq.
