Muscat: The Ministry of Education has processed thousands of teacher transfer requests ahead of the start of the 2025/2026 academic year, ensuring smoother staffing across schools in the Sultanate.
His Excellency Majid bin Saeed Al Bahri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs, confirmed that the ministry received a total of 7,466 external transfer requests from teachers of various nationalities. In addition, 2,469 requests from Omani teachers and their spouses were submitted and officially approved.
Al Bahri noted that the transfers are part of the ministry’s broader efforts to balance staffing requirements across schools and governorates, while also accommodating personal and family-related requests from teaching staff.
