Muscat: Zubaida bint Salem Al Shidhani, Director of the Office for Follow-up of the Implementation of Oman Vision 2040 and official spokesperson for North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, confirmed that the project is being implemented at a cost of RO 2,547,139. Spanning an area of nearly 218,000 square meters, the centre will serve as a unique cultural and entertainment landmark in Oman.
Designed to complement Bidiyah’s renowned tourism appeal, particularly during the winter season from October to March, the facility will host a wide range of events including conferences, seminars, and international festivals. Key features include an open-air theatre equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and projection systems, multi-purpose halls, dedicated areas for children’s and electronic games, and a desert-themed main entrance reflecting the wilayat’s natural environment.

The centre will also house restaurants, shops, kiosks, and landscaped green spaces, ensuring it caters to both residents and tourists.

The announcement was made during the Jabal Al Akhdar Press Forum, which showcased key development projects under implementation in the governorate. The North Al Sharqiyah Governorate is carrying out several initiatives across roads, parks, recreational facilities, and multipurpose halls, with total investments exceeding RO 40 million.
