Nizwa – The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) in Al Dakhiliyah has announced that consumers recovered more than RO 18,237 in refunds during the first half of 2025, following complaints, inspections, and enforcement measures.
The statistics show that the department received 681 complaints, registered 75 violations, and conducted 12,170 inspection visits across markets and commercial outlets in the governorate. In addition, 183 communications were recorded from consumers, while enforcement teams seized 1,842 items found in violation of regulations.
Officials stressed that the refunds reflect the Authority’s commitment to protecting consumer rights, resolving disputes, and ensuring fair trading practices. They urged the public to continue reporting violations through official channels to safeguard the market and uphold consumer confidence.
