MUSCAT : The announcements were made during the “Sustainable Business Environment” forum at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Centre for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar. The new measures will officially come into effect on August 31.
The Golden Residency program is designed to attract long-term investors, offering stability and opportunities in line with Oman’s vision of becoming a leading global investment hub. Meanwhile, the Glorious Companies initiative will support high-performing Omani firms with incentives and facilities to expand regionally and globally. The introduction of the commercial registration transfer service via electronic certification on the Oman Business platform is also expected to streamline procedures, cutting costs and time for investors through full digital integration.
Mubarak bin Mohammed Al Dohani, Director General of Planning at the Ministry and Head of its Digital Transformation Team, emphasized that the initiatives aim to create a stable, stimulating business environment, enhancing Oman’s global competitiveness while accelerating digital transformation in commercial transactions.

On the sidelines, cooperation agreements were signed with Sultan Qaboos University, the German University of Technology, Oman Energy Association (OPAL), and Binaa Professional Services to develop the construction sector. These partnerships will help build national competencies, promote innovation, and ensure sustainable growth standards.
Al Dohani noted that the Ministry is working to diversify the economy, empower outstanding Omani companies, and encourage private-sector partnerships aligned with Oman Vision 2040. He added that integrating academia, industry, and government is key to shaping a competitive, knowledge-based economy for the future.
