SEOUL : Led by His Excellency Mohsen bin Hamad Al Hadhrami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, the Omani delegation presented the country’s integrated hydrogen ecosystem, built on land allocation, joint infrastructure development, and supportive legislation, positioning Oman as a future global hub for green hydrogen production and export.
The roadshow coincided with Hydrom’s newly announced financial incentive package aimed at boosting project viability and attracting long-term investors. Oman has already awarded nine hydrogen projects worth more than $50 billion and plans to produce 1.5 million tons annually by 2030, ranking among the world’s top 10 exporters.
During the visit, the Oman-Korea Green Hydrogen Forum in Seoul served as a platform to deepen cooperation, building on the 2023 memorandum of understanding between the two countries. Officials stressed that Oman’s abundant solar and wind resources, coupled with Korea’s advanced technologies, could create a “green hydrogen trade corridor” linking the Gulf and East Asia.
