MUSCAT – In a statement issued, the Authority indicated that the consumer had entered into an agreement with the office to recruit a domestic worker for his household for a fee of RO 1,200, at a specified date.

However, the recruitment office failed to meet the terms of the agreement, prompting the consumer to file a formal complaint with the CPA.

“After follow-up and communication between all parties, it was agreed to refund the amount to the consumer,” the CPA stated.

The Authority affirmed that the outcome of this case reflects its ongoing efforts to address complaints amicably and ensure the protection of consumers’ rights. It also urged consumers to contact it in the event of any violations or breaches.
