MUSCAT – A key focus of the meeting was the National Early Warning and Climate Information System project, which the Sultanate plans to submit to the Green Climate Fund. The project aims to enhance Oman’s readiness to confront severe weather phenomena.
The meeting confirmed that the roles of relevant entities would be integrated before, during, and after tropical conditions. It also highlighted the French side’s keenness to expand areas of environmental and climate cooperation, and its intent to continue joint coordination to enhance national and international efforts to address climate change.
