Dhofar Khareef 2025 sees over 440,000 visitors by end of July, marking 7% increase

The number of visitors to the Dhofar Khareef season between June 21 to July 31, 2025, reached 442,100, marking a 7 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024, which saw 413,122 visitors.

MUSCAT – Preliminary estimates issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), shows a significant rise in domestic tourism, with Omani visitors increasing by 75.6 percent, reaching 334,399. Visitors from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries totalled 69,801, while international visitors from other nationalities reached 37,900.


In terms of mode of arrival, 334,846 visitors entered Dhofar Governorate through land ports, while 107,254 arrived by air – representing a 10.9 percent increase in air arrivals compared to the same period last year.


It is worth noting that 95.3 percent of Dhofar Khareef visitors – until the end of July 2025 – came during the period from July 1 to July 31, while the remaining 4.7 percent visited during between June 21 to 30.
