MUSCAT – Data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed that the total value of real estate reached approximately RO 1.36 billion by the end of June 2025, recording a 3.5 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2024, when it amounted to RO 1.41 billion
The NCSI data also showed a 25.5 percent increase in fees collected from legal transactions, which amounted to RO 40.5 million, compared to RO 32.3 million in 2024.
Meanwhile, the number of sales contracts decreased by 2.3 percent to 31,831, compared to 32,596 during the same period last year.
On the other hand, the traded value of mortgage contracts decreased by 13.4 percent, recording approximately RO 742.2 million for 10,647 contracts, compared to RO 856.7 million for 10,028 contracts by the end of June 2024.

Swap contracts also witnessed a decline. By June 2025, 596 contracts were recorded with a total value of RO 4.8 million, compared to 671 contracts worth RO 7.3 million during the same period last year.
The number of real estate property deeds issued showed a slight increase of 0.8 percent, reaching 110,551 properties by the end of June 2025, compared to 109,666 properties during the same period in 2024. The number of properties issued to citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council also increased by 4.7 percent, recording 697 properties, compared to 666 properties by the end of June 2024.
