The Investment and Planning Department of the governorate described the move as a “new phase of organized investment,” tailored to preserve the mountainous ecosystem while spurring economic and social development and creating quality employment.
His Excellency Sheikh Hilal bin Saeed Al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, stated that the agreements reflect a long-term vision of forging productive public-private partnerships. “The signing of the investment contracts embodies the strategic direction of Al Dakhiliyah Governorate towards establishing a stimulating development environment, integrating geography and economic opportunities, ensuring direct returns for the local community and enhancing the quality of tourism, entertainment, and commercial services provided in the governorate’s wilayats,” he said.
The Jabal Al Akhdar Press Forum, which brought together more than 70 journalists and media professionals, served as a platform to highlight the region’s growing investment landscape. The governor emphasized the importance of media in bridging the gap between development plans and public awareness, calling the forum a model for “responsible institutional communication.”
The forum also reviewed current initiatives under the “Inma’i” and “Governorates Development” programmes, totaling RO 41.8 million and spanning 60 projects. These include advancements in infrastructure, adventure tourism, agriculture, human capital, and the knowledge economy.
