MUSCAT – The MoU reflects the shared commitment of both parties to revive Oman’s maritime heritage, as well as enable various segments of society to participate in sporting and cultural events with a marine theme.

The agreement aims to strengthen strategic cooperation, with a focus on developing both traditional and modern marine sports that preserve and highlight authentic Omani identity.

The scope of cooperation includes supporting and sponsoring activities and initiatives organised by the committee and exchanging expertise in the fields of sports management, volunteer work, and event organisation, in addition to providing training programmes to qualify national cadres. It will also feature media and marketing coordination to highlight these events and shed light on their objectives and impact.

Dr. Amor Nasser Al Matani, CEO of Oman LNG Development Foundation, stated that the agreement underscores the foundation’s commitment to supporting Oman’s maritime heritage and encouraging community participation, particularly among youth and families.

The MoU is part of Oman LNG’s broader role in supporting cultural and sports initiatives, and enhancing community participation, in alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
