MUSCAT – The SAI, in a statement issued, reminded the public that complaints and reports can be submitted through various channels, including the Complaints and Reports Window on its website via the following link: https://sai.gov.om/complaint
“The Complaints and Reports Window is a digital platform and a vital tool to enhance communication with society and protect public fund,” it stated.
The window enables individuals to report issues such as employee grievances, abuse of power, disruption of citizens’ interests, improper award of tenders, and administrative and financial irregularities within entities subject to the Authority’s oversight.
“Its critical role lies in receiving and confidentially handling complaints and reports pertaining to financial and administrative irregularities as well as transgressions against public fund in entities subject to the Authority’s audit, via its official website,” the statement added.

The service is free and fully confidential, and all submissions are reviewed by specialized staff, who sort and record the information accurately to ensure appropriate action is taken.
It is pertinent to note that in line with Article (15) of the Executive Regulation of the State Audit Law, the “Institution shall investigate and examine the complaints and reports pertaining to the violations of the applicable laws, systems, regulations and decisions by the entities subject to its audit, negligence, default in performing duties of public office or misuse of public fund in a manner that does not contradict the jurisdictions of judicial and other relevant authorities.”
