MUSCAT – The journey, which concluded on July 4, 2025, saw seven Omani and two Pakistani riders explore breathtaking landscapes and significant cultural landmarks, further strengthening the bond between Oman and Pakistan.
To mark the successful completion of the expedition, His Excellency Syed Naveed Safdar Bokhari, Ambassador of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman, hosted a special reception at his residence, recently. The event celebrated the bikers’ remarkable achievement and highlighted the growing people-to-people and tourism ties between Oman and Pakistan.
The nine-member group was inspired by Pakistani motorcycle traveller Muhammad Iqbal Ghangla and began their journey from Islamabad on June 20. Over the next ten days, the bikers navigated through a diverse range of terrains, including bustling cities, high mountain passes, and remote valleys, ultimately reaching the Khunjerab Pass on the China-Pakistan border, situated at a breathtaking 4,693 meters above sea level.
The Bousher Bikers Club members expressed their profound gratitude and appreciation to Ambassador Bukhari and the Government of Pakistan for the “excellent arrangements” that facilitated their visit. They highlighted the unparalleled opportunity to witness the “breathtaking beauty of northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Gilgit-Baltistan.” The bikers also conveyed immense praise for the “impeccable hospitality” extended by the people of Pakistan at every stage of their journey, noting they were met with “genuine warmth, hospitality, and generosity.”
This pioneering motorcycle expedition was a significant initiative coinciding with the 54th anniversary of Oman-Pakistan diplomatic relations.
In a heartfelt letter of appreciation to Ambassador Bukhari, the Bousher Bikers team reiterated their “deepest and most sincere appreciation” for the “great kindness and invaluable assistance” received from the Ambassador, the Pakistani government, and its people. They emphasized that the support provided “before, during and after our trip is profoundly impactful, which made the trip smooth, enjoyable and successful.”
