MUSCAT – Oman views this development as a clear violation of international law and United Nations resolutions, and a deliberate obstruction to peace efforts in the Middle East.
In a statement issued today by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Sultanate warned that the move undermines the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and jeopardizes the viability of the two-state solution.
The Ministry reiterated its strong condemnation of Israel’s ongoing blockade and starvation policy, which continues to prevent the delivery of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip and other occupied Palestinian territories.
Oman holds Israel and its supporters fully responsible for the legal, humanitarian, and political repercussions of these actions, which constitute blatant violations of international humanitarian law.
