MUSCAT : Dhofar Governorate, known for its lush landscapes, waterfalls, and misty mountains during the monsoon season, continues to draw large crowds from within and outside Oman. In response, CDAA has intensified its field presence at high-traffic sites — including beaches, valleys, mountain trails, and waterfalls — to swiftly manage emergencies and enhance public safety.
Specialized civil protection teams are actively inspecting tourist facilities for compliance with safety regulations, while ambulance units are on standby to deliver immediate medical care and transport. Water rescue teams are safeguarding coastal zones, and mountain rescue teams are positioned to handle search and rescue operations in challenging terrain.
Beyond emergency response, CDAA is also running community awareness campaigns to educate both tourists and locals about the risks associated with natural sites, emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety guidelines and avoiding hazardous behavior.
