MUSCAT – The Authority’s hazardous materials response team dealt with the incident, ensuring the leak was safely controlled without any injuries reported.

Sulfur dioxide (SO₂) is a toxic gas known for its harmful effects on human health and the environment, particularly in high concentrations or with prolonged exposure. The CDAA emphasised the importance of safety protocols and quick response in mitigating such risks.
