MUSCAT: Oman Post on Sunday released a special art piece to commemorate the 280th anniversary of Al Busaidi dynasty’s reign.
The unique artwork features seven Al Busaidi Sultans who led the country during different eras, standing side-by-side in a symbolic scene that unites the past with the present.
The background depicts a balcony overlooking Old Muscat, one of the oldest and most significant Omani coastal cities. “It served as a hub for trade and cultural exchange throughout the ages. In the distance, the historical Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts are visible, along with a dhow (sailboat), symbolizing Oman’s maritime heritage and its historical influence across the Indian Ocean,” Oman Post said in a statement.
A limited quantity of the artwork is available for purchase at the Oman Post Stamps & Collectibles shop in Opera Galleria.
