MUSCAT – The decision, announced by His Excellency Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, is in line with the Living Aquatic Resources Law issued under Royal Decree No. 20/2019 and follows the executive regulations issued in Ministerial Resolution No. 4/94 and the previous ban introduced under Resolution No. 121/2022.
The extended ban prohibits all activities related to sea cucumbers, including fishing, buying, selling, transporting, storing, and exporting.
