MUSCAT : The launch is being carried out by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology in cooperation with Stellar Kinetics.
The test launch, scheduled to take place in the Al Kahl area of the Wilayat of Al Jazir and the Hitam area of the Wilayat of Duqm, is part of ongoing efforts to establish a national framework for space operations in Oman. “This is with the aim of testing the organizational and operational process for space launch in the Sultanate of Oman and clarifying the path and procedures for emerging Omani and international companies for orbital and sub-orbital vehicles,” the fisheries ministry stated.
To ensure public safety, the Ministry has advised fishermen, ship and boat owners, and all seafarers to avoid the restricted maritime areas between midnight and 6:00 a.m. on July 5, 6, 8, and 9, 2025.
