Muscat – Organised under the slogan ‘My Summer: Connection and Growth’, the programme involves 600 male and female students from various wilayats, distributed across six summer centres.

Issa Saif Al Shamsi, head of the local committee for the summer programme in North Al Batinah, stated that this year’s programme includes activities aligned with its key objectives, most notably making productive use of students’ summer break. The initiative aims to nurture a capable generation that contributes to realising the aspirations of ‘Oman 2040’ vision while developing students’ personalities and talents through carefully selected workshops tailored to participants’ interests and needs.

He added that the programme offers a wide variety of training workshops, totalling 72 training hours per summer centre. These workshops, he explained, cover multiple fields including arts, culture, science, sports, and social activities, all designed to enhance students’ capabilities, develop their skills, and enrich their personal and cognitive experiences during the summer break.

He pointed out that the summer programme goes beyond entertainment, serving as a non-classroom educational space that promotes life skills, social interaction, creativity, and teamwork.
It is worth mentioning that this year’s summer centres for the governorate’s students include one centre in each wilayat, with activities continuing until July 10.
